Activities and experience in relevant areas
As our school is a boarding school, we need to carry out different activities and we have to be aware of the personal problems of the students. Some of our students come from families who have financial problems. So; we aim to support students not only with education but also with extracurricular activities which stimulate critical thinking, self-autonomy and get students to be active, successful and responsible citizens on social topics, too. We are always in cooperation with psychologists when a student has serious problem that he/she can't handle. At school, the importance given to education, awareness on children's problem, conflicts between students and parents is so remarkable that with this project both teachers and students will have the chance of promoting new teaching methods, learning about new educational systems, acquiring social skills, finding out new ways to solve child abuse and neglect and understanding different cultures. Our school’s mission is: "Improving and updating students for life in an increasingly globalized world." So, in today’s world, we, as teachers, should raise students with some social skills and competences which they will need to compete with real life cases. We should provide students the best opportunities. This project will create a great chance of motivating teachers and students, having experience of working with international organisations and protecting the children from any kind of abuse and neglect. In addition to national competitions, we have been carrying out two Erasmus+ projects about technology and renewable energy resources. Thanks to these projects, we have carried out lots of activities like street interviews, democracy workshop, tolerance day, career day, online discussions on cyber bullying, scientific researches and language day.
